Responsibilities
- Design and develop Go services to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
- Create architectures and designs for high-scale, high-performance systems.
- Participate in code reviews and design reviews.
- Perform service capacity planning, software performance analysis, tuning, and optimization.
- Collaborate with product and experience teams to define and prototype features.
- Build and scale backend services with the infrastructure team and conduct root cause analysis.
- Design, build, analyze, and fix large-scale systems.
- Debug and resolve production incidents during on-call shifts.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to peers.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience in a distributed systems environment.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Familiarity with operating large-scale web services, systems internals, and networking.
- Strong understanding of system performance and scaling.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as C++, C, Java, Scala, Rust, Haskell, OCaml, Erlang, Python, Ruby, PHP, Node.js, or C#, with willingness to work in Go.
