Responsibilities
- Shape automation for AWS networking and build production-quality distributed systems.
- Develop tools and processes that collect and rationalize data from multiple sources.
- Measure service success, own service quality, and proactively prevent customer-facing faults.
- Partner with Network Engineering teams to deliver smooth software rollouts.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate recurring platform issues.
- Design and build cloud-computing system software for diverse customers.
- Gather requirements, create technical designs, and carry projects through the software lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide training and support, and clarify ambiguous situations.
- Optimize software for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Professional, non-internship experience in software development.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
