Responsibilities
- Investigate software behavior and uncover edge cases and overlooked user workflows.
- Write end-to-end tests using Cucumber, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Investigate defects, assist with their resolution, and extend QA systems to prevent recurrence.
- Translate product specifications and expected behavior into testable units while coordinating between Development and Product teams.
- Help lead the transition toward engineering automation as standard.
- Design and implement metrics to measure release quality and product-system performance.
- Collaborate with Product teams to expand product specifications, particularly after defect resolution or in areas with unclear expected behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a First or 2:1, preferably in a technical subject.
- Scripting experience in one or more of Python, Bash, JavaScript, Ansible, or SQL.
- A willingness to learn the required knowledge and an inquisitive, logical mindset.
- Experience investigating causes of defects in software products is beneficial but not required.
