Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure for automotive virtualization applications.
- Define microservices-based architectures using Python with FastAPI or Node.js for distributed automotive cloud services.
- Architect and manage Azure Kubernetes Service environments and containerized application deployments.
- Design API gateway architecture and API management strategies using OpenAPI, RBAC, and OAuth2.
- Implement automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for frontend, backend, and data services across multiple environments.
- Design and manage Azure infrastructure including App Services, Container Registry, Blob Storage, PostgreSQL, and IoT Hub.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar tools.
- Define cloud architecture for distributed co-simulation orchestration and virtual ECU environments.
- Implement secure authentication and identity management using Azure AD and OIDC.
- Enable logging, monitoring, and observability with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Implement data pipelines and asynchronous messaging architectures for vehicle telemetry, IoT, and simulation data.
- Ensure cloud platform security hardening, scalability, high availability, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, and simulation teams and guide technical discussions and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, cloud computing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–10 years of experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Strong experience designing cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure and expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Strong knowledge of Docker containerization and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience designing and managing API gateways and service communication patterns.
- Experience with Azure App Services, Container Registry, Blob Storage, PostgreSQL, and IoT Hub.
- Experience implementing secure authentication with OAuth2, RBAC, Azure AD, or OIDC.
- Understanding of data pipelines, asynchronous messaging, distributed systems, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Familiarity with Python and FastAPI or Node.js for backend microservices architecture.
- Strong system architecture, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
- Exposure to software-defined vehicle architectures, vehicle telemetry pipelines, IoT platforms, co-simulation orchestration, virtual ECU environments, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, or automotive cybersecurity is advantageous.
