Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical lead for large-scale software projects, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and performance.
  • Lead the design and development of foundational system components, frameworks, and services.
  • Provide guidance on Azure cloud architecture, Kubernetes and Docker deployments, Terraform infrastructure, and production operations.
  • Define technical standards and governance for AI-assisted and agentic development, including code review and risk management.
  • Influence technical roadmaps and architectural decisions supporting scalability, maintainability, and cloud cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable software.
  • Diagnose complex production infrastructure issues involving networking, load balancing, quotas, autoscaling, and deployment pipelines.
  • Conduct design and code reviews, provide technical feedback, and develop detailed engineering documentation.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines and promote technical excellence, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and responsible AI-tool adoption.
  • Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, resource planning, competing priorities, and complex technical or team challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Extensive experience with software architecture, design patterns, microservices, APIs, cloud-native systems, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Strong technical leadership experience on large-scale projects in a global software organization.
  • Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud platform engineering experience, including infrastructure-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading adoption of AI-assisted and agentic software development practices with governance and code-review standards.
  • Expertise with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jira, Git, and Azure DevOps or equivalent.
  • Experience managing complex software projects, budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, conflict-resolution, and collaboration skills.
