Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical strategy for Pika’s web and multi-platform products.
- Lead development of real-time collaboration, messaging, and live multi-user interaction capabilities.
- Drive product features from ideation and scoping through development, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Integrate generative AI workflows, large language models, models, and agentic tools into creative tooling.
- Partner with product and design leaders to deliver accessible, user-centric creative workflows.
- Champion technical excellence through architecture reviews, mentorship, and technical proposals.
- Improve cross-service metrics, tracing, and observability for critical product features.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial senior or principal engineering and product-focused experience.
- Distinguished experience leading the design, execution, and scaling of high-impact web or mobile products using technologies such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, or Go.
- Demonstrated ability to build robust, user-centric features for creative applications.
- Comprehensive systems design expertise spanning distributed systems, scalable APIs, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience working across the stack, including ML/AI infrastructure and Python-based GPU-backed workflows.
- Strong product intuition, strategic thinking, communication, leadership, ownership, and cross-functional influence.
- Preferred experience building or integrating generative AI, agentic workflows, or ML inference platforms with Python or PyTorch.
- Preferred creative background, experience with media-rich and real-time collaboration applications, and startup experience.
