Base Salary
$100k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Move between frontend and backend development to build a well-tested, secure frontend for the core web product.
- Create simple, reliable, and performant user interfaces using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Next.js.
- Design scalable architecture capable of serving hundreds of thousands of end users.
- Translate designs into polished production code.
- Articulate the long-term technical direction for maintaining and scaling the web product suite.
- Lead frontend and backend infrastructure and tooling for the product roadmap.
Requirements
- Experience with JavaScript and tools including TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Next.js.
- Experience with modern, responsive HTML and CSS.
- Experience with data-fetching libraries such as React Query/TanStack or tRPC.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, architecture, test-driven development, and component libraries.
- Strong understanding of software security and building secure systems.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and DevOps tools such as Amazon Web Services, Git, and Docker.
- Experience working in agile development teams.
- Nice-to-have: 0–3 years of full-time software engineering experience.
- Ability or desire to learn, collaborate, work entrepreneurially, and own products end to end is preferred.
