Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android-based point-of-sale software.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and backend engineering to define, build, and deliver features.
- Ensure software quality and reliability through automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
- Resolve technical challenges and recommend effective solutions.
- Contribute to subsystem-level designs addressing scalability, security, and performance.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product and technical decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
- Proficiency with both Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with RxJava is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience building high-availability, real-time systems, preferably in payments or financial technology.
- Understanding of secure payment protocols, PCI compliance, and payment processing workflows is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience handling complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
