Base Salary
$168k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research AI threats, vulnerabilities, remediations, and advances in AI security controls.
- Evaluate AI tools and support AI system management and governance.
- Assess existing AI security controls and improve security posture and software designs.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance on AI security to product managers, product engineers, and corporate IT.
- Implement AI security capabilities in AWS and corporate environments as part of the AI roadmap.
- Develop AI security architecture and design standards across applications and infrastructure.
- Ensure appropriate security controls are included in AI R&D projects and major AI development initiatives before production.
- Coordinate process improvement and control implementation projects with the Digital Technology team.
- Build AI security control requirements with engineering and risk teams.
- Assist Cyber Defense Operations with triaging AI-related incidents in internal networks and AWS production environments.
- Support the use of AI models to improve security controls, security operations, and risk management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with information security concepts, technical security controls, and security architecture design principles, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience securing AI systems, evaluating AI threats, and implementing AI security controls.
- Background as a software engineer, security architect, or security engineer implementing security controls in AI environments on AWS.
- Experience deploying AI engineering tools such as vector databases, AI model hosting and monitoring tools, and applying security best practices with AI coding assistants.
- Experience with Secure-SDLC, DevSecOps, secure design, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Experience monitoring AI systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, frameworks, platforms, AI security regulations, and data privacy best practices.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and security scanning technologies.
- Extensive experience with security architecture, system design, and scalable security solutions in cloud-native AWS environments.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Preferred security certifications include CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, CCSP, or CEH.
