Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build highly performant infrastructure for Datadog’s CI/CD systems.
- Drive the technical roadmap for trusted build provenance, secure secret access, and real-time network-layer rule enforcement.
- Partner with platform, infrastructure, and developer experience teams to create secure workflows that are easy to adopt and difficult to bypass.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for engineering, debugging, testing, and analysis.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.
- Participate in incident response and improve the integrity of Datadog’s software supply chain.
Requirements
- Fluency in one or more modern programming languages such as Go, Python, Rust, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience building reliable, high-throughput systems or infrastructure on the critical path of software delivery.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture, security boundaries, trust relationships, and software delivery infrastructure.
- Comfort using AI-assisted engineering tools and evaluating their effects on velocity, quality, and operations.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for solving complex technical and architectural problems.
- Bonus experience with software supply chain security, build systems, provenance, artifact repositories, CI/CD platforms, proxying, protocol-aware systems, request interception, high-performance policy engines, Linux internals, systems programming, networking, or distributed systems.
