Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL programs and workflows using Databricks.
- Create technical specifications for data-loading rules, data models, architecture, installation and qualification guides, and release notes.
- Design, implement, and architect software products and customer-specific product extensions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to Software Engineers.
- Design and support clinical trial information-sharing solutions.
- Provide application support for existing products and assist with technical consulting for pharmaceutical clients.
- Support release management with Azure DevOps Git and execute live deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent project-related experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure components, especially Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
- Relevant experience in systems integration and implementation, software development, or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing Databricks-based ETL solutions and SQL solutions in Azure SQL or Databricks environments.
- Strong skills in database development, data analysis, data modeling, database design, and working with large datasets.
- Experience improving data quality in data warehouses and designing data warehouses with Kimball dimensional modeling.
- Experience testing ETL solutions using Genie and Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks such as TOGAF, SPARX Enterprise Architect, UML, BPMN, and ArchiMate.
- Experience architecting ETL systems, implementing data-driven systems, and working with large-scale relational or object-oriented databases.
- Experience with Agile development methodology, technical documentation, debugging complex software systems, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, client-facing, teamwork, and deadline-management skills.
