Base Salary
$218k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build internal developer platforms, service scaffolding, and automated CI/CD tooling.
- Design and implement multi-agent automation systems, adaptive conversational flows, and LLM orchestration using LangGraph and foundation model APIs.
- Create DSL and FSM abstractions for modeling and routing complex multi-agent platform tasks.
- Implement near-real-time memory and shared session management for persistent state across developer tools, bots, and internal APIs.
- Build highly available distributed systems using Redis, Kafka, and DLQ bridges.
- Establish prompt-engineering practices, AI safety guardrails, logging standards, and governance controls.
- Instrument microservices and health monitoring with sidecar patterns, data streams, automated checks, and Datadog dashboards.
- Mentor mid-level and senior engineers, lead architecture reviews, and set engineering standards for AI agents and platform systems.
- Define and monitor developer-experience metrics such as onboarding time, deployment success rates, and task automation velocity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience developing backend systems, distributed architectures, or core platform tools.
- 2+ years operating at Staff or Principal engineering scope.
- Formal technical leadership experience mentoring at least two engineers, leading architecture reviews, or serving as the primary technical lead for a multi-engineer project.
- Strong hands-on coding skills in Java, Python, or Go.
- Deep experience with microservices architecture, RESTful web services, and event-driven architectures.
- Preferred experience building agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, and LLM integrations with LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI API, and Anthropic API.
- Preferred extensive practical experience with Terraform for cloud provisioning, state management, and infrastructure deployment.
- Preferred experience with DSLs, FSMs, dynamic agent routing, Redis, Kafka, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, and streaming platforms.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, DLQs, sidecar monitoring, automated secret management, and self-healing systems.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, influence architecture, and collaborate with product, security, SRE, and infrastructure teams.
