Responsibilities

  • Implement and support improvements that increase efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
  • Work across development and operations with a unified customer and user focus.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
  • Manage infrastructure using Terraform and containerized environments using Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Support Java applications, database architecture and integration, schema change management, monitoring, and system reliability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical implementations and facilitate business and technical knowledge sharing.
  • Manage and influence stakeholders to ensure services run effectively and priorities are appropriately assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
  • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Experience with Java and multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and database schema change management, such as Liquibase.
  • Knowledge of GitOps principles.
  • Public sector or central government experience is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel, the right to work in the UK, and the ability to attain UK Security Clearance are required.
