Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that increase efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Work across development and operations with a unified customer and user focus.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform and containerized environments using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Support Java applications, database architecture and integration, schema change management, monitoring, and system reliability.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations and facilitate business and technical knowledge sharing.
- Manage and influence stakeholders to ensure services run effectively and priorities are appropriately assigned.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with Java and multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools and database schema change management, such as Liquibase.
- Knowledge of GitOps principles.
- Public sector or central government experience is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel, the right to work in the UK, and the ability to attain UK Security Clearance are required.
