Responsibilities
- Design, build, validate, tune, and operationalize security detections across EA’s global environment.
- Develop automation that reduces engineering toil and improves the speed and consistency of risk mitigation.
- Partner with Security Operations to produce meaningful alerts and with Security Engineering to improve detection automation platforms and integrations.
- Implement governed ML/LLM techniques for threat intelligence consumption, detection candidate creation, and data prioritization.
- Drive ambiguous work end-to-end and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise security detection engineering.
- Proficiency in automation development, preferably with Python, and in building or consuming APIs with REST, authentication patterns, and secrets handling.
- Experience building detection logic from endpoint and/or cloud telemetry, with strong knowledge of attacker tradecraft and common compromise chains.
- Ability to design validation approaches and measure detection performance, including precision and noise reduction, using data-driven methods.
- Experience with security automation and SOAR.
