
Senior Integration and QA Engineer
General MotorsResponsibilities
- Deliver integrated hardware, software, and calibration for development, production, and service programs.
- Develop and execute manual and automated Key Behavior Tests and milestone tests.
- Verify control module functionality on benches and in vehicles, including perception, lateral and longitudinal control, mapping, and localization systems.
- Develop test protocols and scripts for validating hardware and software integration.
- Lead testing, automation, and issue-resolution activities while guiding other team members.
- Support new test features, processes, methodologies, problem resolution, and incident tracking.
- Collaborate with multiple agile teams to deliver end-to-end products and features.
- Mentor junior team members through coaching and guidance.
- Participate in development trips, assembly plant activities, prototype shops, garages, and fleet testing for less than 10% of the role.
- Drive GM test vehicles as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software, computer, electrical, embedded systems, or electronics engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, software integration, and/or software testing.
- Prior software experience, preferably with C or C++, plus exposure to Bash, Python, and Windows batch scripting.
- Experience integrating and testing safety-critical embedded control systems in a hardware-in-the-loop environment.
- Ability to independently investigate issues from limited information and resolve complex problems.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to legally operate test vehicles.
- U.S. Person status is required due to export control restrictions.
- Preferred experience with ADAS, software-defined vehicles, motion control, automotive networks, and powertrain systems.
- Preferred experience with Linux or QNX operating systems and file systems.
- Preferred experience with CANoe, Vehicle Spy, INCA, or AutoVAL.
- Preferred knowledge of serial data communications including Ethernet, CAN, and LIN.
- Preferred exposure to Adaptive AUTOSAR and unit-testing tools such as CppUTest and Google Test, including Jenkins plugins.
