Responsibilities
- Implement new product features, enhancements, and user interface improvements under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
- Support software integration with industrial equipment, PLCs, databases, cloud services, and third-party systems.
- Perform software testing, debugging, validation, and release activities.
- Troubleshoot software issues and assist with product sustainment, customer support, and field investigations.
- Collaborate with mechanical, controls, cloud, and software engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contribute to software design discussions, code reviews, documentation, test procedures, and continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of assigned features through design, implementation, testing, and release.
- Develop technical knowledge of industrial automation, connected products, equipment workflows, and modern application development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, control systems, PLC programming, industrial software development, or a related engineering field.
- Demonstrated software development experience through coursework, internships, co-op programs, or professional experience.
- Experience with one or more of C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Python, or C++.
- Understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and Git version control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness and desire to learn industrial equipment, customer workflows, connected products, and modern software development practices.
- United States travel visa preferred.
