Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop AI-enabled robotic demonstrators using robot arms, sensor-equipped hands, and sensor-level systems.
- Plan demonstration concepts, system requirements, success criteria, dependencies, and build plans with AI, research, software, and hardware teams.
- Integrate and run AI models, prepare test scenarios, assess robot behavior, and document configurations, performance, and limitations.
- Install and configure sensors, verify data quality, and explain sensor behavior, outputs, and operating limitations.
- Maintain reliable demonstrations through regression checks, configuration records, setup and recovery procedures, and robot safety practices.
- Deliver customer demonstrations and support trade shows through system setup, operation, and live troubleshooting.
- Support customer evaluations by guiding testing, reproducing issues, collecting diagnostics, and verifying fixes with engineering colleagues.
- Assess customer use cases and application requirements and feed integration insights into research and demonstrator planning.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience integrating and debugging robotic or mechatronic systems involving actuators, sensors, control interfaces, and application software.
- Working understanding of sensing, control, AI models, motion constraints, safe operation, and demonstrated robot capabilities.
- Practical programming and debugging skills in Python or C++, with experience using robotics middleware such as ROS 2 or comparable frameworks.
- Working knowledge of sensor installation, interfaces, and data quality.
- Experience presenting technical capabilities to customers or partners, supporting evaluations, troubleshooting, and translating application feedback.
- Ability to plan and deliver research demonstrators, coordinate cross-disciplinary dependencies, and respond methodically to live technical issues.
- Master’s or PhD in robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Relevant post-degree experience of 3–5 years after a master’s or 1–2 years after a PhD.
- Preferred experience with robotic manipulation, teleoperation, sensor-equipped hands or grippers, learned robot policies, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, trade-show demonstrations, or on-site customer evaluations.
