Base Salary
$180k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customer engineering teams remotely or on-site to design and implement real-time applications on LiveKit.
- Design scalable architectures for voice AI, real-time media, and developer platform use cases.
- Build prototype integrations, reference implementations, and sample applications.
- Help customers use SDKs, APIs, infrastructure, and deployment strategies in production.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
- Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions with developers and product teams.
- Translate customer needs into technical insights for product and platform development.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to improve developer experience, documentation, and tooling.
- Contribute code, examples, or improvements to LiveKit's open-source ecosystem.
- Advise customers through application launches and scaling on LiveKit.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++.
- Experience working across APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building or integrating developer platforms or real-time systems.
- Ability to understand complex systems quickly and debug real-world technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with customer and internal engineering and product teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Experience with WebRTC, real-time media systems, or telephony/SIP infrastructure is preferred.
- Familiarity with voice AI, conversational agents, or AI infrastructure is preferred.
- Customer-facing engineering experience, open-source contributions, or previous LiveKit experience is preferred.
