
MXPN- Hybrid- Computer Engineer IV (UI/UX SME)- Remote
BarbaricumResponsibilities
- Partner with project managers and engineering teams to define UI/UX objectives for maneuver, surveillance, and engagement missions.
- Develop and prototype UI/UX systems for computer vision, sensor fusion, and decision-support applications.
- Test and evaluate UI/UX performance against operational datasets.
- Analyze test data to assess model strengths, weaknesses, and mission relevance.
- Refine and optimize systems for robustness, scalability, and cyber resilience.
- Troubleshoot complex system challenges and provide technical guidance for deployed solutions.
- Deliver comprehensive documentation and technical reports to stakeholders.
- Track emerging AI/ML technologies, software engineering practices, and cyber defense techniques relevant to mission-critical systems.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required; Top Secret is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in UX design and software development is required.
- Experience developing, deploying, and securing applications in mission-critical or defense environments is required.
- Experience with data science, dashboard development, interface design, and system/data architecture is required; Qlik experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience with LLMs, MLOps pipelines, and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow is required.
- Strong knowledge of software and cyber engineering, system hardening, secure coding, and vulnerability mitigation is required.
- Ability to lead complex technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and work with government stakeholders is required.
- DoD 8570 Advanced certification, such as SecurityX, GCSA, CCSP, or equivalent, must be obtained and maintained.
