Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems for large-scale platforms.
- Own complex backend projects from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
- Drive architectural decisions and influence long-term engineering strategy.
- Build systems with strong observability and monitoring to support uptime and rapid incident response.
- Perform performance tuning, incident response, and root cause analysis as part of operational excellence.
- Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical deep dives and code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of storage systems, query performance, and caching strategies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, messaging systems such as Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage delivery timelines in fast-paced environments.
- Passion for growing engineers and leading by example.
- Curiosity about advertising systems and optimizing them for user and business outcomes.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 6–9 years of development experience.
