Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate services for Axon's internal AI platform (Cortex).
- Implement and standardize deployment patterns for AI-driven applications.
- Own and extend connectors and integrations with enterprise systems.
- Measure and improve reliability, latency, and cost for AI workloads.
- Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of new AI features from prototype to production.
- Evaluate new AI services for fit, performance, and cost.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and auditing for AI services.
- Help define best practices for GPT/LLM solution development.
- Collaborate with various teams to turn workflows into AI solutions.
- Communicate design decisions and status to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of web service fundamentals.
- Demonstrated interest in AI/ML and LLMs.
- Basic understanding of security best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
