Responsibilities
- Collaborate with manufacturing, data science, product, process engineering, and domain teams to identify AI opportunities.
- Analyze and preprocess datasets from manufacturing equipment, sensors, logs, and MES systems.
- Lead AI proof-of-concepts and pilot programs for semiconductor back-end manufacturing.
- Build, train, validate, and deploy AI/ML models for defect detection, yield improvement, process optimization, and predictive maintenance.
- Build data ingestion and transformation infrastructure and integrate large-scale data solutions.
- Set up and manage AI development and production infrastructure, including edge and cloud deployments.
- Create APIs and help business customers integrate model outputs into operations.
- Monitor AI system performance, implement enhancements, and support production adoption.
- Provide technical documentation, training, and support to production teams.
- Identify transfer-learning opportunities and new training datasets.
- Help product managers and stakeholders understand AI capabilities, limitations, and results.
- Stay current with AI/ML research and prototype improvements for manufacturing systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related discipline.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or equivalent languages.
- Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience in data analytics, computer vision, or generative AI.
- Experience deploying machine learning models in production, including on edge devices or cloud-based systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of advanced computer vision techniques such as image classification, segmentation, and object detection.
- Experience with AI model explainability, trustworthiness, and validation in industrial contexts.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and real-time data handling.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Knowledge of semiconductor back-end manufacturing, including assembly, packaging, and testing.
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing data, including sensor, equipment-log, and MES data.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Linux server environments, and containerized deployments.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Apache NiFi, Dataiku, Cassandra, MongoDB, HDFS, JIRA, Git, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Publications, patents, or conference presentations in AI/ML applications for manufacturing are advantageous.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes or equipment, sensors, drivers, and encoders is advantageous.
