Base Salary
$85k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, administer, and support Kong API Gateway environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production incidents, and drive issue resolution.
- Work with development and platform teams to onboard and manage APIs.
- Implement security, performance, and reliability best practices.
- Support AWS-based infrastructure and containerized environments.
Requirements
- Experience in API management and gateway technologies.
- Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Kong API Gateway.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, IAM, CloudWatch, and EKS.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Understanding of API security, OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, networking concepts, and source control tools such as Git.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
- Preferred experience with AI Gateway implementations, AI/LLM integrations, Kubernetes, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Apigee, or other API management platforms.
