Base Salary
$157k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-quality embedded Rust software for mission-critical, NSA-certified cybersecurity and encryption devices.
- Design systems-level, real-time, multithreaded, embedded, backend, networking, and performance-sensitive software using Rust.
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop test coverage.
- Troubleshoot complex defects, perform code reviews, and maintain reliable software over long product lifecycles.
- Translate CONOPS, specifications, and requirements into software designs, code, test plans, and executed testing and debugging.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, cybersecurity, test, and program teams and provide technical direction when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- Department of Defense SECRET security clearance at the time of hire and eligibility for access to classified information.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Demonstrated production Rust experience, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, error handling, concurrency, and the Rust toolchain.
- Experience with embedded, systems-level, backend, networking, or performance-sensitive software and automated testing.
- Preferred experience includes real-time multithreaded software, Linux, hypervisor technology, UML, device drivers, C/C++, and Python.
- Ability to define scope, schedules, and expectations; work with little guidance; and provide technical direction and leadership.
