Base Salary
$157k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with product owners to gather requirements, shape roadmaps, and adapt execution across product teams.
- Create architecture specifications and project plans, own implementation and validation, and lead or participate in design, code, and user experience reviews.
- Contribute to Visa’s enterprise-wide risk platform across the full lifecycle from ideation through delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, innovation advocacy, and continued learning.
- Use GenAI, copilots, and agentic software across the SDLC and DevOps to improve delivery speed, quality, and security.
- Build reusable code, developer tools, and product capabilities while using metrics and best practices to improve code quality and service reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist with incident response and resolution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing web-based applications.
- Experience with one or more of Java, Python, C#, or Golang.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Experience using GenAI, copilots, and agentic software to improve SDLC agility, quality, and security.
- Preferred: ability to provide technical leadership and make sound engineering and operational decisions.
- Preferred: strong product mindset and customer focus with experience collaborating with product managers and team leads.
- Preferred: experience architecting, building, deploying, and operating large-scale, highly available, fault-tolerant, elastic microservices in cloud-native environments.
- Preferred: proficiency in GraphQL and gRPC API design, event-driven architectures, and message queues.
- Preferred: experience with container-based technologies.
- Preferred: experience building AI-powered product capabilities and integrating Governance, Risk, and Compliance platforms.
