Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for Apex unit tests, Salesforce Lightning UI automation, API testing, and end-to-end regression suites.
  • Integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions and Salesforce DX deployment workflows with quality gates for production releases.
  • Own test strategy across the software development lifecycle, including acceptance criteria, test plans, execution, defect triage, and sign-off.
  • Investigate, isolate, categorize, and prevent defects through reproducible minimum viable test cases.
  • Identify and close coverage gaps across Apex classes, flows, integrations, and user interfaces.
  • Build and maintain reliable test data strategies across sandbox environments.
  • Partner with developers during code reviews to identify testability issues, missing coverage, and brittle patterns.
  • Maintain quality dashboards covering coverage metrics, defect trends, error rates, and deployment health.
  • Contribute to story refinement and agile ceremonies while advocating for testable acceptance criteria.
  • Champion quality practices across developers, architects, administrators, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software quality engineering experience, including meaningful experience in a Salesforce environment.
  • Automation-first experience with test code, exploratory testing, edge cases, and user acceptance testing support.
  • Proficiency developing Apex test classes, including understanding of governor limits and test data isolation.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or comparable UI automation frameworks for Salesforce Lightning interfaces.
  • Proficiency with Jira for defect and sprint management.
  • Experience with Postman, SoapUI, or similar API testing tools and testing REST and SOAP endpoints.
  • Familiarity with Git-based source control, Salesforce DX, and sandbox-to-production release processes.
  • Strong defect analysis, debugging, communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and quality-metrics skills.
  • Experience with development best practices, testing methodologies, continuous integration, and deployment and release management tools such as GitHub.
  • Ability to define, measure, and report on test objectives, coverage metrics, error rates, and thresholds and hold engineers accountable for technical quality.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer or Administrator certification is preferred.
  • Quality or testing certification such as ISTQB is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce Lightning Design System and testing LWC components at unit and integration levels is preferred.
  • Experience testing Salesforce integrations such as Marketo-Salesforce synchronization, CTI platforms, or external REST APIs is preferred.
  • Exposure to Salesforce performance or load testing and governor-limit concerns under volume is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-velocity SaaS or e-commerce environment is preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills are required.
