Responsibilities
- Recommend enterprise reference architectures for AI-related solutions.
- Design end-to-end pipelines for generative AI, machine learning, and agentic workflows.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and conduct rapid prototypes, proofs of concept, and MVPs.
- Define requirements, model dependencies, integration points, scaling strategies, and resource estimates.
- Optimize architectures for latency, token-related cost efficiency, reliability, and production scalability.
- Establish AI safety, bias mitigation, human-in-the-loop, governance, lifecycle, and documentation patterns.
- Provide technical oversight, architecture reviews, leadership, and mentorship across AI implementations.
- Design and execute technical assessments of AI models and emerging technologies.
- Apply LLM validation frameworks to assess performance, accuracy, safety, and technical suitability.
- Maintain reusable AI architecture patterns, component templates, and concise architectural documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 5 years of significant experience designing end-to-end technical architectures for machine learning and generative AI solutions.
- Proven experience with technical feasibility assessments, rapid prototyping, proofs of concept, MVPs, and connecting business requirements to engineering execution.
- Experience with enterprise-scale systems, security standards, and AI governance.
- Expertise in AI design patterns including RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows, plus model evaluation frameworks.
- Strong technical leadership, mentorship, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to optimize architectures for scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Professional proficiency in English; Italian or additional European languages are preferred.
