Responsibilities
- Provide software quality assurance support throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Act as the System Quality Assurance representative within cross-functional product development teams.
- Review and approve software assessments, requirements, architecture and design documents, risk management documents, test protocols, traceability matrices, and validation reports.
- Establish software quality best practices and guide quality planning, verification, validation, and quality-by-design activities.
- Manage software risks, perform software audits, and provide independent quality oversight and project status reporting.
- Ensure software compliance with Dyson policies, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
- Support software transfer from development into manufacturing and product support.
- Develop and deliver training on software validation, software risk management, and quality tools.
- Drive process improvement, configuration management, metrics, statistical process control, and software quality program effectiveness.
Requirements
- More than five years of software quality management or relevant experience.
- Strong experience managing software quality across Joint Development Manufacturers and external development partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of software in IoT products, including embedded, app, and cloud software.
- Experience working in regulated environments involving standards such as ISO, IEC, and FDA.
- Experience with Agile software development, DevOps environments, software verification and validation, and software configuration management.
- Deep understanding of software and software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Ability to analyze test strategies, develop test plans and execution documents, and review customer deliverables.
- Ability to apply risk management, verification and validation, configuration management, process metrics, analytical techniques, and statistical process control.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, independence, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified software quality engineer credentials such as CQQE or ISO auditor certification are preferred.
