Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect secure, cost-effective distributed systems and MLOps pipelines on Google Cloud Platform for fine-tuning and serving frontier models.
- Translate AI/ML research into production services while optimizing inference latency, throughput, and TPU/GPU fleet utilization.
- Design self-improving multi-agent architectures and cognitive planning engines for complex, guardrailed workflows.
- Shape the Google Cloud AI roadmap using operational insights and technical gaps from incubation projects.
- Mentor executive engineers and promote rapid prototyping, rigorous system design, and technical excellence.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of software design and architecture experience.
- At least 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- At least 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or related concepts such as LLMs, multimodal systems, large vision models, language modeling, or computer vision.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience building advanced GenAI systems, including multi-step LLM, multi-agent, or MCP-integrated systems with orchestration frameworks.
- Preferred: knowledge of using AI/ML, automation, and advanced technologies to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Ability to lead complex ambiguous projects and demonstrate strong problem-solving, investigative, and technical leadership skills.
