Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish global network engineering best practices and design scalable network solutions.
- Build and maintain automation and tools for product introductions, network deployment, release engineering, configuration management, and operations.
- Design solutions that scale across multiple network hardware platforms and vendors.
- Enhance continuous integration, validation, testing infrastructure, release, and configuration automation across backbone, datacenter, and edge networks.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to develop new networking solutions.
- Investigate complex network, hardware, and automation issues and improve operational workflows.
- Identify cross-team roadblocks, develop execution plans, drive projects, and influence partner teams.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and apply production lessons to future products.
- Contribute to team growth through peer mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience planning, designing, building, or operating scalable and reliable systems or networks.
- Programming experience in at least one language such as Python, C++, Go, Rust, or Java.
- Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS, or ISIS, and network services such as DHCP and DNS.
- Experience configuring and maintaining network devices in multi-vendor environments including Juniper, Cisco, Arista, or Brocade.
- Experience with network management systems or applications such as web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, and messaging systems.
- Hardware evaluation and vendor management experience.
- Preferred experience includes AI skill development, responsible AI practices, IB/RDMA/RoCE networking, AI training workloads, distributed systems, network infrastructure software, AI workflow optimization, debugging and instrumentation, and automated testing infrastructure.
- A master’s degree or graduate work in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
