Responsibilities
- Write clean, readable, testable code and sensible designs for software modules.
- Create end-to-end tests and document external API endpoints and structures.
- Independently own simple projects while working under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Deliver customer- and team-focused systems and features reliably under deadlines.
- Support and maintain production software after launch.
- Conduct detailed code reviews and document idioms and best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and sales teams.
Requirements
- B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience developing in Java.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end solutions from scratch.
- Knowledge of web service technologies and REST API development.
- Experience with Spring Framework, J2EE, or Reactor.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript; ReactJs, Redux, or AngularJS is an advantage.
- Experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express or HapiJS.
- Experience with MySQL or MongoDB, including understanding of MySQL procedures.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit.
- Working knowledge of Docker or Rkt containers.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Mesos, or OpenShift orchestration.
- Working knowledge of RabbitMQ or Kafka messaging.
- Design patterns, integration testing, performance testing, and Agile development methodology are desirable.
