Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, refactor, optimize, and modernize Android applications.
- Implement scalable and maintainable features using Clean Architecture principles.
- Integrate native Android capabilities including NFC, Bluetooth, and Camera SDKs.
- Troubleshoot application issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical decisions, software development lifecycle activities, peer reviews, and code quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with iOS engineers, QA specialists, backend developers, and product stakeholders.
- Support CI/CD, release automation, engineering automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial Android development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, and the Android SDK.
- Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, Mockito, and JUnit.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and feature ownership skills.
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Java, XML, Android Data Binding, legacy application modernization, Navigation Compose, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, scripting, and AI-assisted engineering tools is a plus.
- A portfolio of published Android applications on Google Play or GitHub is a plus.
