Responsibilities
- Administer and configure CA-Endevor across development, test, and production environments, including tasks/STCs, repository connectivity, libraries, SMP/E maintenance, upgrades, and currency management.
- Engineer and govern Endevor inventory models, processors, generate procedures, builds, copybook/include handling, and middleware hooks for DB2, CICS, and IMS.
- Build and maintain Endevor API/CLI integrations, custom wrapper services and scripts, Python automation, and REXX utilities for lifecycle operations and z/OS tooling.
- Implement and support Jenkins pipeline-as-code for Endevor invocation, credential management, batch-step monitoring, promotion sequencing, quality gates, and required approvals.
- Implement end-to-end build and promotion traceability, provenance, audit evidence retrieval, and release labeling.
- Administer RACF, ACF2, TSS, Endevor ACLs, privileged-access patterns, and audit logging for API/CLI actions.
- Monitor and tune Endevor health and performance, troubleshoot processor, package, wrapper, API, Jenkins, and inventory issues, and deliver root-cause analysis and preventive fixes.
- Maintain technical standards, runbooks, onboarding guidance, backup/restore procedures, and disaster-recovery exercises for repositories, datasets, and wrapper components.
Requirements
- Experience owning CA-Endevor platform administration, configuration, inventory governance, processors, repositories, upgrades, and operational support.
- Hands-on Python development for automation and wrapper tooling and REXX development for z/OS utilities, inventory queries, dataset/member validation, JCL generation, and operational tooling.
- Experience building and supporting Jenkins pipeline-as-code integrations using Endevor APIs, CLIs, and custom wrappers.
- Knowledge of mainframe build and delivery flows involving compile, link/edit, copybooks/includes, DB2, CICS, and IMS.
- Experience with release governance, quality gates, approvals, traceability, provenance, static analysis, dependency checks, and audit evidence.
- Experience administering RACF, ACF2, TSS, Endevor ACLs, least-privilege controls, privileged access patterns, and audit logging.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-toolchain failures, tune operational performance, document standards, and execute backup, restore, and disaster-recovery procedures.
