Base Salary

$118k - $177k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and design software solutions that improve power efficiency across processor and SoC subsystems.
  • Analyze existing software and recommend improvements to performance, memory usage, power utilization, software/hardware partitioning, and algorithms.
  • Develop tools for silicon profiling, validation, and debugging across SoC components.
  • Participate in pre-silicon evaluations and sign-offs.
  • Recommend opportunities for hardware acceleration and collaborate with hardware teams.
  • Develop firmware for memory- and CPU-constrained systems and support software interactions across SoC components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year or a PhD in a related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Preferred experience includes 4-8 years in computer architecture, real-time operating systems, C/assembly programming, embedded-system debugging, compilers/linkers, Python scripting, embedded software, and machine learning.
  • Experience with ARM architecture, JTAG or equivalent debugging, hardware programming guides, driver/software development, and Perforce or Git is preferred.
