Responsibilities

  • Manage critical end-to-end trading workflows and improve production stability and resilience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, support, and technical business users.
  • Support scalable algorithmic trading technology and serve as a subject matter expert for trading-system initiatives.
  • Apply application deployment best practices and manage front-office application support and vendor relationships.
  • Respond rapidly to incidents and convert quick fixes into robust, scalable solutions.
  • Monitor systems proactively, troubleshoot issues, and own reliability improvements through delivery.
  • Support the trading lifecycle, including order capture, execution, allocation, settlement, and compliance.
  • Participate in a global on-call rotation.
  • Support market-data distribution platforms, feed handlers, consolidated feeds, messaging systems, and time-series frameworks.
  • Work with exchange and vendor certification, third-party networks, EMS/OMS vendors, and network protocols.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of front-office application support and vendor-management experience.
  • At least 8 years of relevant FIX Engineering experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in commodity trading, capital markets, or investment banking.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with scalable algorithmic trading technology, application deployment, monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.
  • Understanding of algorithmic trading regulation, audit and compliance requirements, and RTS6 is highly desirable.
  • Experience with exchange and vendor certification and knowledge of third-party networks and EMS/OMS vendors such as TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, and TradingScreen.
  • Experience with messaging systems and debugging network protocols such as TCP and multicast is highly regarded.
  • At least 8 years of operational experience supporting real-time market-data distribution platforms, including RTDS, DACS, ADH, and ADS.
  • Knowledge of multicast traffic management, arbitration, message queueing, and real-time consolidated feeds.
  • At least 5 years of operational experience supporting time-series frameworks such as kdb and shakti, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of major global futures exchanges, exchange-traded derivatives lifecycles, market-data providers, and liquidity aggregation platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills in high-pressure trading-room environments.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
