Base Salary
$135k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build instrumentation and monitoring systems for performance signals such as load times, stream quality, and error rates across web, app, and live-stream experiences.
- Develop backend services, dashboards, and tooling for engagement, retention, user-journey friction, and experimentation analysis.
- Contribute to recommendation algorithms, personalization services, feature pipelines, training datasets, feedback loops, and production model serving.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and services processing large-scale ads, user-event, and engagement data.
- Transform raw data into reliable analysis-ready datasets and APIs using SQL, Python, PySpark, or similar technologies.
- Support data architecture for ad-tech integrations, paywall flows, subscription checkout, data-quality checks, alerting, and operational reporting.
- Contribute to commission-calculation, sales-quota, and commission-simulation tools with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and auditability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, content, marketing, sales, Finance, and platform teams to ship scalable, observable, and well-documented systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; candidates should be recent graduates or have up to approximately two years of experience.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and basic system design.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, or Go, plus working knowledge of SQL.
- Coursework, academic projects, or internship experience involving data pipelines, backend services, or applied software systems.
- Exposure to distributed data processing concepts such as Spark or Hive is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of A/B testing and experimental design principles.
