Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver features from concept to production.
- Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native services on AWS.
- Write clean, well-tested code in TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, planning sessions, code reviews, testing, and production support.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the technology stack with support from senior engineers.
- Apply engineering practices involving testing, observability, version control, and deployment workflows.
- Take ownership of well-scoped tasks and deliver them with increasing independence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience such as bootcamp training or a portfolio.
- Up to 2 years of software engineering experience, with internships and academic projects counting toward experience.
- Foundational knowledge of at least one backend language, preferably TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Exposure to cloud services, preferably AWS, including conceptual knowledge of Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and seek assistance when needed.
- Preferred qualifications include hands-on AWS experience, serverless architecture knowledge, infrastructure-as-code experience, containerized workload experience, observability tools experience, open-source or personal project contributions, AI-assisted coding tool experience, and AWS certifications.
