Base Salary
$147k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and build new features for the Connectivity team
- Develop the Bluetooth layer for efficient and secure communication between Oura Ring devices and the iOS application
- Implement support for next-generation products and maintain app-to-ring connectivity across millions of devices
- Collaborate closely with Firmware and Platform teams
- Ensure consistency across applications
- Prototype new iOS frameworks and development approaches to improve productivity
- Develop systems that support performant, maintainable applications and improve developer experience at scale
- Maintain and modernize the codebase by removing legacy implementations
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience shipping iOS applications
- Strong experience with Swift, UIKit, modern iOS app architectures, and common third-party libraries and frameworks
- Experience with iOS CoreBluetooth and knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy
- Experience collaborating on complex shared codebases
- Proficiency with Git, branching, and standard code review workflows
- Commitment to quality through unit tests and manual testing
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into implementable, shippable solutions under technical leadership
- Preferred experience with Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, CoreAnimation, CoreGraphics, or PyTorch
- Preferred experience with asynchronous collaboration across countries and time zones, health or wellness products, systems architecture, performance optimization, computer science fundamentals, design patterns, open-source contributions, or a strong personal portfolio
