Responsibilities

Develop intelligent product-stream sorting using user signals with Node.js and TypeScript.
Manage large datasets with Google BigQuery and integrate them with business-intelligence systems and the data platform.
Build and improve highly trafficked APIs while ensuring minimal latency.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts to improve existing functionality and introduce new features.
Take deep ownership of a product area and drive improvement ideas within the team.
Explore new technologies and methods, particularly machine learning and generative AI.

At least 5 years of experience building scalable APIs, such as with Node.js, Python, or Go.
Practical and current experience with a typed programming language such as TypeScript.
Strong knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
Ability to write well-structured, efficient, maintainable code and actively improve codebase quality.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in an English-speaking, agile environment.
Commitment to continuously raising software quality standards.
Nice to have experience with centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions such as Datadog.
Nice to have experience with a cloud ecosystem such as AWS or GCP and orchestration services such as Dagster or Airflow.
Nice to have experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
Nice to have experience building data models with dbt.
Nice to have experience operating data-processing pipelines with distributed data-processing frameworks.
Experience with machine-learning models or LLM-based systems is a plus.
