Responsibilities
- Define and implement mission-specific RF software communications requirements and architectures.
- Bring up and deliver flight RF software systems for space missions.
- Develop RF digital signal-processing and calibration algorithms.
- Design and optimize RF system control algorithms for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with ground software teams on satellite-to-ground data pipelines.
- Test and troubleshoot RF equipment, mixed-signal boards, and RF components in the laboratory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience developing software for wireless systems in critical applications.
- At least 2 years of experience writing embedded C/C++ code.
- Ability to work with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and software-defined radios.
- Proficiency testing and troubleshooting complex mixed-signal boards and RF components such as power amplifiers, PLLs, LNAs, and mixers.
- Strong understanding of RF signal modulation and demodulation blocks.
- Preferred experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ board bring-up and development.
- Preferred experience implementing baseband software using PSK, GFSK, or APSK.
- Preferred experience with DVB-S2, CCSDS, GNU Radio flowgraphs, space environments, and ground-station integration.
