Responsibilities
- Provide input to firmware design architecture and system requirements.
- Implement detailed firmware designs based on requirements.
- Develop embedded firmware, unit tests, and design and development documentation.
- Perform development-level testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Use hardware signals and laboratory equipment to debug firmware.
- Investigate and fix infrequent production bugs across statistically significant device populations.
- Produce readable, well-documented code.
- Support products from release through quality assurance, field trials, and production.
- Generate board support packages and chip drivers.
- Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, code review, and automated test generation.
- Participate in an Agile development environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- At least 6 years of firmware development experience.
- At least 4 years of embedded C programming experience.
- Working knowledge of MCU architecture, peripherals, hardware integration, schematics, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Ability to work with binary protocols and binary data, multithreaded programming, Linux, source code management tools, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eligibility to travel to the United States and maintain a valid passport.
- Preferred experience with audio signal processing, Digital Signal Processors, Python, MATLAB/Octave, FreeRTOS, ARM Cortex-M MCUs, GPS/GNSS, cellular modem modules, battery-operated and low-power applications, TCP/IP, and AI/LLM-based embedded development tools.
