Base Salary

$125k - $229k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain in-house service-oriented infrastructure solutions at scale for a globally distributed system handling more than 15 million requests per second.
  • Help product teams ship more efficiently and safely through shared automation, tools, and processes.
  • Build, implement, operate, and enhance self-service infrastructure tooling and automation to improve supportability.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and postmortem discussions to drive long-term operational health improvements.
  • Identify process gaps and implement solutions that accelerate execution and reduce manual toil.
  • Apply configuration management, capacity modeling, monitoring, data collection and analysis, KPI definition, and operational tracking.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in TypeScript, Go/Golang, or C#.
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting service-oriented applications.
  • Domain knowledge in one or more of Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Backstage, Kafka, Consul, AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun), Linux operating system internals, filesystems, storage technologies, protocols, networking, Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of systems design and the advantages and drawbacks of different approaches.
  • Experience building always-on systems across varied technologies and service layers.
  • A track record of making significant, self-directed contributions to large and impactful projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, collaboration, learning, innovation, and adaptability skills.
