Base Salary
$148k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Push the boundaries of Skydio’s wireless capabilities for longer range and faster connectivity.
- Develop a new communication protocol for mesh drone communication.
- Design and implement solutions for reliable drone communication in an OFDMA-based mesh network.
- Optimize wireless software and firmware across WLAN, LTE, and 5G.
- Implement and validate system-level algorithms to meet performance KPIs.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of WLAN and cellular protocols, including OFDMA and mesh networking.
- Proficient in firmware development and wireless communication systems.
- Well-versed in C++, C, and Python programming languages.
- Strong software engineering skills in design, implementation, and performance tuning.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across multiple layers, including hardware.
- Proven collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
