Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots, and supports secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Reviews and debugs code written by other engineers and promotes reusable engineering patterns.
  • Leads adoption and responsible validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Identifies and automates recurring remediation opportunities to improve application and system stability.
  • Leads evaluations of external vendors, startups, and internal teams by assessing architectures, technical credentials, and system applicability.
  • Works on growing data ingestion, data management, data analytics, system reliability, scaling, and operational support.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, deployment, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming or data technologies such as Python, Java, Databricks, or AWS.
  • Experience leading AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with disciplined code management, testing, deployment practices, and the software development life cycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial-services industry IT systems.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate.
  • Preferred experience includes data integration and analytical skills.
