Responsibilities
- Build and support backend services for a particular area of Monzo’s banking platform.
- Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses, make data-informed decisions, and improve customer outcomes.
- Design and develop resilient software using distributed systems principles.
- Work with product managers, marketers, researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, analysts, business analysts, and writers.
- Participate in the standard engineering interview and leveling process.
Requirements
- Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
- Experience with or interest in distributed systems and resilient software.
- Some experience with strongly typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
- A product mindset focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
- Comfort working collaboratively in an ambiguous environment.
- Interest in building products that customers use every day.
