Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems for PC, console, and mobile game development.
  • Manage build farms, nightly builds, source control infrastructure, branching strategies, repository health, and performance tuning.
  • Automate packaging, deployment, and distribution to platform storefronts, console certification tools, app stores, and internal QA environments.
  • Monitor pipeline health, diagnose failures, reduce build and iteration times, and own incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems for outages.
  • Support automated testing infrastructure, smoke tests, regression suites, crash-reporting integration, and live-ops tooling.
  • Manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure supporting build servers, backend services, and development tools.
  • Write and maintain Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripts and internal tools to improve developer workflows.
  • Collaborate with programmers, technical artists, QA, producers, engine teams, and technical leads on infrastructure and platform requirements.
  • Integrate Unreal Engine features into studio games and provide technical troubleshooting and support during critical development stages.
  • Document pipeline processes and provide support and training to programmers and technical staff.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, or infrastructure roles.
  • Solid scripting or programming ability in Python, C#, Bash, or a similar language.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems at scale, especially Perforce and/or Git with Git LFS.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, an automation-oriented mindset, and comfort collaborating with programmers, artists, and producers.
  • Game industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and game-engine build processes such as Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines is desirable.
  • Experience with PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch certification and submission pipelines is desirable.
  • Familiarity with live-ops backend services, telemetry pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, or scaled build infrastructure is desirable.
