Senior Site Reliability Engineer- Remote

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant ClickHouse systems.
- Establish and manage SLOs and SLAs for ClickHouse Cloud.
- Implement monitoring and alerting across Dataplane, Control Plane, and ClickHouse Core infrastructure.
- Improve incident response, customer communication, and blameless postmortem processes for ClickHouse Cloud outages.
- Continuously improve the reliability and performance of ClickHouse services.
- Plan and drive chaos initiatives across engineering teams.
- Manage on-call processes and escalation best practices to resolve performance and reliability issues and minimize downtime.
- Develop software platforms and tools that improve operational and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least eight years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.
- Previous production experience using ClickHouse.
- Hands-on experience with Go and/or Python.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of distributed databases and SQL, with ClickHouse expertise preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Strong experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance, along with strong ownership, accountability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
