Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and operate highly available, scalable, secure, and observable cloud services.
- Drive technical designs and implementation for complex engineering problems, including architectural trade-offs.
- Own features and projects from requirements and design through deployment and production readiness.
- Build expertise in cloud infrastructure, global deployment technologies, and sovereign cloud engineering.
- Collaborate with partner teams to define solutions, resolve dependencies, and deliver cross-service capabilities.
- Improve service reliability and operational excellence through automation, monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers and contribute through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C#, Java, C++, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and delivering production services is preferred.
- Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, is preferred.
- Experience driving complex or ambiguous engineering projects from design through delivery is preferred.
- Deep experience with software design, implementation, testing, and debugging is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software is preferred.
- Advanced collaboration and communication skills, technical leadership, and mentoring ability are preferred.
- Successful candidates must satisfy applicable citizenship or protected-status verification requirements, including passport verification, and pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
