Base Salary

$120k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and operate highly available, scalable, secure, and observable cloud services.
  • Drive technical designs and implementation for complex engineering problems, including architectural trade-offs.
  • Own features and projects from requirements and design through deployment and production readiness.
  • Build expertise in cloud infrastructure, global deployment technologies, and sovereign cloud engineering.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to define solutions, resolve dependencies, and deliver cross-service capabilities.
  • Improve service reliability and operational excellence through automation, monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C#, Java, C++, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and delivering production services is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, is preferred.
  • Experience driving complex or ambiguous engineering projects from design through delivery is preferred.
  • Deep experience with software design, implementation, testing, and debugging is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software is preferred.
  • Advanced collaboration and communication skills, technical leadership, and mentoring ability are preferred.
  • Successful candidates must satisfy applicable citizenship or protected-status verification requirements, including passport verification, and pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
