Responsibilities
- Design, train, and optimize deep learning models for computer vision in dynamic and safety-critical environments.
- Own the full ML lifecycle from data strategy and model architecture through deployment and performance monitoring.
- Develop evaluation pipelines to verify model reliability and safety.
- Support ML certification activities and validate model behavior under regulatory frameworks.
- Use transfer learning, simulation, and synthetic data generation to scale training and testing.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and flight teams to integrate ML models into real-world autonomous flight applications.
- Improve model performance across edge cases, environmental variability, and operational constraints.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in deep learning for computer vision.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or Rust.
- Experience with model design, training pipelines, evaluation systems, and the full ML stack.
- Understanding of data-centric AI, dataset curation, and augmentation strategies.
- Experience with simulation environments or synthetic data generation is preferred.
- Ability to address complex research problems over extended periods in academic and industrial settings.
