Responsibilities
- Design and build production search and recommendation architecture.
- Establish strong baselines for prompts, RAG, and model selection.
- Build evaluation and observability into every stage of the process.
- Set up data/event feedback loops for iterative improvement.
- Improve search relevance and ranking for patient-facing products.
- Ensure production quality, including latency reliability and monitoring.
- Collaborate with ML Engineers, PMs, and SWEs to deliver AI-powered features.
Requirements
- Experience in production deployment of algorithms on AWS.
- Strong analytical mindset with a patient-first approach.
- Significant experience as a Software or AI engineer in search or recommendation systems.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end retrieval and ranking pipelines.
- Proficiency in AI engineering with foundation models and off-the-shelf components.
- Architecture-first approach to system design and evaluation.
- Ability to ship reliable, low-latency services to production.
